  1. Short:    Audio CD player written in Assembly

  5.                         KaloPlayer v0.99 DEMO
  6.  
  7. This small utility was written in Assembly for playing  Audio  CDs  in
  8. SCSI-II compatible CD-ROM drives (SCSI, ATAPI, etc.).
  9.  
  10. KaloPlayer v0.99 is shareware, the registration fee is 10 DM.
  11.  
  12. In the unregistered some of the functions are disabled.
  13.  
  14. The user interface was designed using GadTools.
  15.  
  16. Functions:
  17.    · Conventional functions like
  18.       Play, Pause, Stop, FF, REW, Next, Prev, Eject
  19.  
  20.    · Scan  - plays the beginning of each song on the CD
  21.              (see also the tooltypes below)
  22.  
  23.    · VOL   - volume control for each channel
  24.  
  25.    · Title - edit titles
  26.              (In the unregistered release saving is disabled.)
  27.  
  28.    · M     - the part between the two clicks on this button
  29.              will be repeated three times
  30.  
  31.    · --    - manual track selection (0-99)

  38. Tooltypes
  39. The program reads its configuration from the icon tooltypes.
  40. Device   = the device used for the CD-ROM (SCSI, ATAPI, etc)
  41. Unit     = device unit number
  42. SCANTIME = length of the scan function in seconds
  43.  
  44. Commodity Hotkeys
  45. alt numpad enter             Play-Pause
  46. alt numpad *                 Stop
  47. alt numpad +                 Next
  48. alt numpad -                 Prev
  49. alt numpad /                 Eject
  50. alt numpad <track number>    Play track 0-9
  51. alt numpad .<track number>   Play track 10-99 (keep pushing alt)

  53. Installation
  54.  
  55. Manual Installation:
  56.  - Copy the executable to the destination volume or directory
  57.  - Make a subdirectory called DISKS.
  58.  - Copy the contents of the DISKS directory from the archive
  59.    to the newly created DISKS drawer
  60.  - Copy the cdpl.font to the FONTS: directory.

  64. If you want to register, please send me 10 DM by snail mail.
  65. I will send then the full version on a 3.5" disk.
